Mike and his trout.

Us on the hiking trail.

Creek by our campsite.

Mike and Abby

This past weekend Chris and I went camping with Mike and Abby, a couple that we met at a church we have been checking out. It was a lot of fun getting to know them. On Saturday after a yummy breakfast of omelets in a bag we hiked up a mountain to get to a lake, and let me tell you Chris and I were feeling it the next day. The lake was gorgeous, with a blue that I had never seen before, you could see rainbow trout swimming because the water was so clear. We got to watch Mike catch a fish by fly fishing which just made Chris more excited about learning. Overall, it was a lot of fun hanging out by the campfire and exploring God's beautiful creation. God has been so amazing to Chris and I through this move to Idaho. He has always been by our side. I know it sounds cliche to say he is always there, but it is something we have really felt. Everything has run so smoothly since our move. We have met some really nice people, found a church that I think we really like, and everyone at work has been so nice to Chris, he really enjoys his job. Love, Chris and Amanda

The waterfall right by our apartment.

Little Redfish Lake, over 10,000 ft. in elevation.

Galena Summit

Mountain Wildflowers

Curious Little Lois

This last weekend Chris and I went up to Ketchum, a small town with lots of ritzy people. It was very pretty in the area with lots of million dollar houses and fun shops. We also took a drive up to Red Fish Lake. It was so gorgeous there and it smelt so good with the pines and fresh air. Chris and I would love to go camping there sometime. As we were driving we saw lots of crazy people who were bicycling up in the mountains I don't know how they manage to make it up those hills or I should say mountains, but they do. If only I had that kind of motivation. I wanted to post a pic of Chris trying to cross this river on a log but it didn't show up. He made it to the middle of the river fine but when it came time to turn around he was a little stuck. Instead of me being the nice wife I am all I could do was laugh as he was trying to scoot backwards on his butt. It was cute. Lois is doing well, still getting into everything as you can tell by the last pic. Well it's time for me to get some things done. Ta ta for now.

Moving in to Twin Falls

The legendary Snake River

Chris was happy when he was finally unpacked and glad that he was handled with care.

Mandi cooling off in a stream near the Shoshone Falls.

Shoshone Falls (this is considered very dry, apparently they are a lot more spectacular).

Perrine Bridge, the gateway to Twin Falls

A friendly lizard that Mandi almost stepped on.

Sorry it took so long to post of Twin Falls. We are heading up to Sun Valley today (we've heard it is the place to go). So far we like it here, it's definitely different then the Minnesota we are use to. We have met some really nice couples and people seem to be pretty friendly around here. Well sorry I didn't write much but I'm getting the "its time to go look" from Chris :)

Lois

Playing on her back

Looking cute

Napping on Mandi's shoulder

Notice that she is well fed

We got our kitten from my sister before we left for Idaho. She was probably a little young yet because we had to feed her with a bottle, but as you can see she is getting fed quite well. I thought it would be nice to have someone to talk to when Chris is at work, as opposed to me talking to myself. She did surprisingly well on the trip to Idaho, hang on I guess Lois wants to say something- mm. I guess she is maybe hungry?! She rode on my lap most of the trip which is where the spoiling probably began. You'll have to ask chris what possessed him to name her Lois, but it is starting to stick. She got her first bath today which she handled very well chris and I had to chuckle because she looked like a gray rat. We've had lots of fun with her and at times she is very trying and demanding but so far we still like her. :)

Our Trip to Idaho

Shell Falls on the West Side of the Bighorn Mountains

The Geysers at West Thumb in Yellowstone National Park

Old Faithful getting ready to explode

A Baby Bison

On our way out to Idaho we stopped in Rapid City, SD. We spent two nights there at Chris's sister's house. Unfortunately, the batteries from our camera were dead so we were not able to take any pictures of her family. We then pressed on through Wyoming, crossing over the Bighorn Mountains and then the Rockies while driving through Yellowstone National Park. We spent the night at a motel in West Yellowstone, MT and drove to Twin Falls the next day where we camped out one night before we could move in to our apartment.
